On 1st November in a joint venture between Upper Beeding Baptist Church and 3Bs parish, thirty eight children in fancy dress took part in ’ Pumpkin Heroes’ Accompanied parents and friends of the two churches the excited group met at Peter’s church and listened to the first instalment of The Pumpkin Patch.
Everyone moved on to four further stops around the village with lanterns and pumpkins. The destination was The Hub in church Lane where the children enjoyed a supper of sausage and chips, fruit and ice cream.
This was followed by a musical game’ Pass the Pumpkin’ during which each child received a prize from the giant pumpkin. The evening ended with happy tired children leaving for home carrying orange balloons
